Main
Rolled escalope of chicken breast
In a nutshell...
Worst trait: I have a tendency to occasionally NOT know when to keep quiet.
Best trait: I have a great sense of humour and tend to be quite animated.
Cooking style: I love (and am inspired by) Mediterranean-style food, made with loads of TLC and usually a hint of chilli.
Greatest culinary success: A toss-up between deep-fried ice-cream balls and croissant and cheese soufflé. By the grace of God, they both turned out brilliantly.
Likes: I love expletives. LOVE them!
Hates: I’m not keen on most fish, and I unwillingly gag on anything that resembles pap and rice (risotto included). And I will not touch anything from the inside of an animal, i.e. liver, brain, kidney or tongue. In the words of John Vlisma, ”Who the hell wants to eat food that tastes them back?” - my sentiments EXACTLY!!!
Signature dish: I have four dishes that friends and family ALWAYS ask me to make – Portuguese peri-peri prawns (a family recipe), 3-C’s pasta (chicken, chilli and coriander), lasagne and Thai garlic bread. My ex-boyfriend even admitted to using one of them as part of his ‘seduction’ technique after we’d parted ways!
Worst CDWM nightmare: Dinner at a cat-lady’s house, which stinks of urine.
Perfect dinner party entertainment: Nothing.
The special thing about my dinner parties is: ME!
Other interests: From a ‘hobby’ perspective, I enjoy anything that involves white beaches, turquoise ocean, spending time with my daughter and with friends, reading a book and chilling with a good ‘chick-flick’.
