Dark Chocolate Hazelnut Brownies

Ingredients

Brownie:

  • 180ml Cocoa
  • 2.5ml Bicarbonate Of Soda
  • 150g Butter
  • 125ml Boiling Water
  • 500ml Brown Sugar
  • 2ea. Eggs Extra Large
  • 330ml Flour
  • 5ml Vanilla Extract
  • 200g Roasted Hazelnuts
  • 200g Dark Chocolate

Topping:

  • 250g sugar, white
  • 74g butter, cubed
  • 120g water, boiling
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 cup cream

Topping:

  • 150g White chocolate
  • 50g Hazelnuts

Preparation method

Brownie:

  • Preheat oven to 180°c.
  • Mix cocoa, bicarbonate of soda, melted butter.
  • Add boiling water. Stir.
  • Stir in eggs, sugar, vanilla and flour.
  • Stir in chopped nuts, chocolate.
  • Bake for 40 min, in a 10 inch square pan

Topping:

  • Drizzle with melted white chocolate
  • Sprinkle with chopped hazelnuts
