Ingredients

- 2 kg mutton
- 5 potatoes
- 3 onions
- 3 tomatoes
- 2 green peppers
- 1/2 clove garlic
- 50 g mother in law masala
- 50 g turmeric
- 50 g hot curry powder
- 50 g cardamom (elachi)
- 50 g cinnamon sticks
- 50 g bay leaves
- 30 g salt
- 500 g self-raising flour
- 1 kg basmati rice
- 100g coconut oil
- 250 ml fresh cream
- 2 eggs
- 200 ml milk
Preparation method
- Heat coconut oil, add finely chopped onion, green pepper and garlic. Cook until light brown.
- Add all spices, curry powder, cinnamon sticks, bay leaves, cardamom (elachi). Cook for 7 min.
- Add mutton then stir, add water and leave to cook for 1 hr, lightly turning now and then.
- Add potatoes. Cook for 30 min.
- Add tomatoes. Cook for 10 min.
- Add fresh cream. Simmer on low heat for 20 min.
- Put cleaned basmati rice in cold water and bring to boil for 20 min, then strain water.
- Mix dough for steam bread, put in plastic and put in boiling water for 90 min on low.
