Imke’s Greek Coconut Tart

Ingredients

Serves: 4-6 people

Preparation time: 45 min

  • 5 eggs
  • 30 ml milk
  • 125 ml butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 cups coconut flakes
  • 1 cup cake flour
  • 3 tsp baking powder
  • 250 ml fresh cream
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • 1 cup milk
  • pinch salt

Preparation method

  • In mixing bowl, beat eggs, butter and sugar.
  • Add coconut flakes and milk, combine.
  • Pour mixture into oven tray, bake 35 min.
  • Make syrup: Combine sugar, water and vanilla essence.
  • Pour syrup over tart, serve with whipped cream.
