Ingredients

Bread:

  • 500g Flour
  • 10ml Salt
  • 15ml Castor Sugar
  • 30g Butter
  • 7g Yeast
  • 150ml Warm Milk
  • 150ml Warm Water
  • 30ml Whole Wheat Flour
  • 10ml Cocoa
  • 1ea Egg
  • 10ml Fennel Seeds
  • 10ml Sesame Seeds

Preparation method

Bread:

  • Preheat oven 220° c.
  • Sift flour and sugar.
  • Rub in butter.
  • Add yeast water and milk.
  • Mix with dough hook to form soft dough adding fennel seeds
  • Knead for 10 min
  • Knead in whole wheat flour and cocoa to a 1/3 of the dough
  • Allow to rise until double in size
  • Roll both dough into the same sized rectangles
  • Place the brown dough on top of the white dough
  • Roll into a cylinder
  • Brush with egg and sprinkle with seeds
  • Allow to rise for 15 minutes
  • Bake for 45 minutes
