Presenter Kevin McCloud follows some of Britain's most ambitious self-building projects, as intrepid individuals attempt to design and construct the home of their dreams.

First, Kevin McCloud meets actor Sean Simons, who has bought the ruins of Cloontykilla Castle in Co Roscommon in the Republic of Ireland with a view to using them to create a spectacular mock 16th-century home.

Later, Kevin McCloud meets Audrey and Jeff Lovelock, who dream of living in one of west London's most exclusive areas. However, the only way they can afford it is to go underground.
